10 Tips to Eating Healthy on the Go

Whether you’re traveling, spending time commuting every day, work on the road, or just lead a hectic busy life, eating healthy is not always easy. There are 10 simple things you can do, or get yourself in the habit of doing, to avoid the ever so tempting unhealthy fast food junk.

1) Eat More Often

Eating smaller amounts more often will help you avoid that hunger rush to grab the wrong food on the go. It’s also better for digestion. If you don’t have time for a full meal, bring healthy snacks with you that you can eat frequently throughout the day. A sliced-up apple or carrot sticks with some almonds and cheddar cheese cubes is an example of a healthy satisfying snack that you can easily take on the go. Keep other healthy snacks with you such as protein bars, trail mix and satisfying treats to keep you from stopping for that greasy unhealthy, yet tempting, cheeseburger and fries. Fruit is also a natural way to refuel your body’s energy during the day. Apples are an easy grab and go fruit. They are rich in important antioxidants and dietary fiber. Bananas are also a good choice. Both are rich in potassium.
